I became a clay artisan in the late 1980s in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico with my friend and co-founder of Clay Arts, JL Bermudez.  

We commercialized novel home address plaques with whimsical island themes.  They were the hot item to have and soon we were selling in other stores in addition to our studio. 

We were also commissioned with creating company mementos and gifts, custom ceremonial plaques, and large mosaics.

In 2019 I returned to clay at Outlaw Arts, a studio where artists collaborate and give back to the community.
